All our hosted services are hosted in datacentres of the highest quality (Tier5) ensuring physical security, a perfect server environment and continuous Internet access.

Power:

Generators

  • 3 (5 ultimate) x 3.8MVA 11kV diesel driven emergency power
  • Automatic start in less than 1 minute to feed 100% of the facility
  • Once generators are activated there is a 24 x 7 agreement in place with local suppliers to refuel
  • Monthly test of each generator at 100% on permanent load-bank
  • UPS

    Each system comprises a group of 625kVA Hybrid Rotary UPS modules with:
  • N+1 redundancy
  • Able to supply 100% of facility for up to 8hrs

  • Temperature regulated overall to 21°C+/- 2°C
  • Humidity regulated overall to 50%RH +/- 10%
  • Cooling Systems

  • Two plants each of 3 x 900kWr air-cooled package chillers giving 3600kWr total with N+1 redundancy.
  • Under-floor cooling air distribution filtered to EU4 standard

  • Use of non-inflammable and low smoke zero halogen materials where possible
  • Very Intelligent Early Warning (V.I.E.W.) detection – above and below raised floor
  • Smoke extract system activated by fire alarm

  • Full electronic access control system, based on proximity cards with photo and PIN keypads
  • Biometric Palm-scanners in addition for Colocation areas
  • Locks on colocation suites and cabinets

    News

    Aethernet has been assigned an LDAP Private Enterprise Number (25593) by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA).  This will allow us to create our own LDAP schemas for use within our Datacentre directories and also in our Filesafe product.
