This tutorial will take you through the steps to configure your Outlook 2007 with an Aethernet IMAP account.
PS: PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE AETHERNET CERTIFICATE IS INSTALLED BEFORE YOU CONFIGURE OUTLOOK.
Go to the Tools menu and click on Account Settings ...
In the Email tab, click on New
In the Your Name box, type your name as you want it to appear to others (that's how it will appear when email arrives in a recipient's inbox). In the E-mail Address box, type your whole email address.
In the Password box, type your password. Retype your password in the Retype Password box.
Tick the box in the bottom left-hand corner that says Manually configure server settings or additional server types
Click Next >
Select Internet E-mail
Click Next >
You will see the Internet E-mail Settings screen. Here you need to fill in details about your email account.
6.1 You've already filled in the User Information section.
6.2 In the Server Information section select Account Type as IMAP from the drop-down list. Fill in the rest as follows: Incoming mail server: mail.aethernet.co.uk Outgoing mail server (SMTP): smtp.aethernet.co.uk
6.3 In the Login Information section, for your User Name fill in your whole email address in the available box. In the Password box, type your password
The Remember Password box is probably already ticked. It's ok to leave it to Outlook to remember your password. Leave the next box unticked: Require logon using Secure Password Authentication.
Click on More Settings ...
7. In the Mail Account box type the name you would like to give this account

Go to the Outgoing Server tab and tick the first box (My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication)
Go to the Advanced tab. For the Incoming Server select SSL from the drop-down list.
For the Outgoing Server select TLS from the drop-down list.
Click OK
Click on Test Account Settings ...
Both tests should succeed. Click Close
Click Next >
Click Finish
